A Little Tease

Here is a picture of "our" latest project. I say our loosely as I am just watching at this point. This is my Christmas and birthday present and I don't need to tell you I am thrilled.

I have always wanted a playhouse - my grandma had one when I was little and I loved playing in it. It brings back a lot of fun memories and I wanted to do the same for my grandchildren. This one is pretty small as you can see from the picture. But pretty large on the cute factor. We have the perfect spot in our yard - very shady - and the grass doesn't grow there anyway. I'm hoping this looks like the dwarves cottage in Snow White.

Today Bob is painting the outside and I am hopeful that Laura and Jessica will paint the inside tomorrow. Then my fun will begin!

The Party Continues

This is the last of the party, I promise. I just had a few pictures of her actual party at her house that I wanted to share.

Laura made both of these cakes. Aren't they cute? She didn't get any of that talent from me!!
The only party guest I took a picture of was Jackson. That boy loves to eat {note the cheeks!}. And notice what Jessica is using to get him to look up. Too funny.
Look at the loot! Elizabeth has generous friends.
She was being silly and dancing for me. I love her natural smile.
This is the centerpiece Laura made. More talent, not from me.

Birthday Tea

Elizabeth turned 5 and I can hardly believe it. She will be going to school in the fall and so in the next few months we have to spend a lot of time together.

I had a tea party for her for her birthday. She loves to have tea parties and so do I!! Here is the birthday girl all ready for her presents. Bring them on!!
She was excited that Grandpa had brought our tea table back to the balcony. The table spent last summer out by the pool, but with our new addition there wasn't room so Bob hauled it back up to the balcony. She loves to have her tea out there, and I think it is because our very 1st tea parties in this house were on the balcony. She likes tradition, just like her grandma.

She recognizes that box!!
Yea, it's Bitty Twins. {how do you spell YAY?? YEAH?? YEA??} I do have her loving her American Girls - I started Laura and Jessica on them when they were in 2nd grade I think. There were only 3 dolls at that time.
Part of our fun is making our tea party food. Elizabeth is putting the pink sprinkles on strawberry rollups.
Here are our tea cookies - not so tasty, but pink and cute.
Our lovely tea table. Not worthy of Tablescape Thursday, but we liked it.
Of course the new little girls needed their own tea party. Good thing we have the supplies and Elizabeth loved setting them up in their own little party.

After our party the boys joined us for a little while. We are off to feed the ducks.
Surrounding our pond in the spring are beautiful wildflowers. An attempt was made to get a bluebonnet picture, but a bee was spotted and this was as close as we could get. Note Elizabeth standing up, ready to make a quick get away.
Feeding the ducks. {there really are ducks there, it's the photographer that was focusing on kids, not ducks!}
The girls in their matching jammies. So cute.
Happy Birthday Elizabeth! I had such a fun day with you!

Picture Perfect?

Here are some pictures of our attempt at a group picture.

Aren't they darling? {actually they are - just not easy to photograph}

And here are the moms trying very hard to get them to look at the camera. It is pretty funny to watch.

Spring is Springing

I have a few pictures to post so I'd better get back into the swing of things.

We have had a rough winter!! {I'm sure my northern readers will not feel our pain} but we haven't had that many nice 70 and sunny days this winter. We haven't been to the park that often and I'm sure the heat is on the way. We had better enjoy these days.

Cooper did!! Here he is in the hot tub on the last day of March.
Jackson likes the water too.
These next pictures are just for my memory. These are various trees in our yard on April 1. I feel like the leaves are late this year.

And the big project for the spring is our new outdoor living space. We haven't figured out what to call it - but it is going to be nice.
And, today Elizabeth turns 5!! How can that be?? Happy Happy Day Elizabeth!!!
