Memorial Day

~Freedom isn't free~

Thank you to all of our service men and women.

All of these pictures were taken by me at the American Cemetery, overlooking Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.  It is a profoundly moving place, and absolutely beautiful.

*post from last year ~ the sentiment remains the same!

AWESOME!!!!

In a turn of Providence, I am actually praying for an old soldier who stormed those very beaches and lived to see another day. At this moment, he's waiting death in a hospital here in GA. His daughter is a dear friend, and so I'm praying for mercy. It would be a sweet tribute to him to pass on this Memorial Day.

I'm glad you posted this. It really stirred my heart.
