We have been having some beautiful weather ~ like nearly 80 on the last day of January!
So, I decided to do a little housework. On the "little" house. And because, frankly, I just wanted to be outside, and I didn't really want to work on the "big" house. I don't know where to start in there!
This is just the right size.
I put up a few Valentine's decorations. Love that heart window. I also left on the Christmas lights. They are red and white so they will be perfect now, and they will be great for all of the patriotic holidays too. So I don't think they will be coming down until they don't work anymore.
I have given up on real flowers in the window boxes. I did it the first few seasons but I just don't go out and water them every day and they always looked so terrible.
Inside I whipped up a new tablecloth with my trusty glue gun.
I swept out all of the leaves that got tracked in and washed the floor and cupboard.
I tidied up the pantry and put all of the food back in the cupboard. I have a lot of wooden food ~ lots of little pieces ~ and it is a favorite activity to dump it all in a bowl and leave it for Grandma to sort and put back in the containers. {because I am a little OCD :-) }
Whew, that's a big job done. If only the rest of my house was that easy!

What a great place for the kids and grandkids! Cute as a button!
I love it when you post pics of the littles house! I did a little Valentine's decorating on mine too. Now I need to clean the inside because it will be filled with little girl grands this weekend!
This little house is just totally adorable. I love it. Hugs, Marty
I've probably said it before, but your play house is my favorite that I've ever seen. I love the heart window and those window boxes.
I would definitely leave the lights up,too.
OH MY GOODNESS!! I absolutely LOOOOVE this little house. It's the cutest thing EVER!!
It's absolutely adorable on the outside AND inside! You have it decorated so darn cute. What an absolutely FUN place for a child to play and hang out! This is seriously the cutest little house I've ever seen! :)
Oh, Sue....I am SO jealous that you have this fabulous little playhouse for your grands! I grew up with one next door & we spent many, MANY hours in happy imaginary play.
I wouldn't mind cleaning up this little place at all.
LOVE all your cute decorations, both inside & out. What FUN!!!
fondly,
Rett
Now that's my kind of cleaning! I LOVE this little house!! Wouldn't it be nice to be a little mouse listening to all the play conversations that go on in there. Also love your comment about the "favorite activity" ~ my 5 have the same "favorite." Thanks for visiting The "Nest" but a "Zoo" is exactly what it becomes when the boy cousins come to visit. I will be posting more pictures when my other little projects are complete. There's a story behind the name and I'll share that again, too.
Cute cute cute! We could use some of that OCD cleaning around here! :)
Love your "little" house ! I agree with Jessica, head my way!!
Thanks for stopping by this morning ~ wish we could share "grand" stories in person!! Hope your 'doctor drama' goes well, too!!! With all our babies, we don't have time for that kind of drama--we need to be well and running to keep up. Be checking on you again soon.
