Memorial Day

~Freedom isn't free~

Thank you to all of our service men and women.

All of these pictures were taken by me at the American Cemetery, overlooking Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.  It is a profoundly moving place, and absolutely beautiful.

We visited there several years ago and it is a life changing moment. Seeing all those graves of soldiers who died for our freedom and can never return home. I am grateful everyday. Beautiful pictures! Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Oh my word. Those pictures are amazing. We have a family friend who stormed those beaches at Normandy when he was just a kid. I know he's one of the last surviving ones of these brave men in our area.

Awesome photos, Sue...very heart wrenching to see.
We've never been to visit but have friends who went & they spoke in hushed tones about the effect that visit had on them.

Sue, our trip to Normandy and WWII sites is one of the most memorable I've taken. Thank you for sharing your photos. ~ sarah
