To God Be The Glory

That's all I could think when I put these branches in a vase in front of the windows.

 To God be the glory.

Spring has sprung in Texas.

I just had to share the trimmings from my Bradford Pear Trees.  I gathered up the branches and stuck them in a large vase that I never use.  They look beautiful.

 { It's times like this when I need a camera that takes good pictures.  Of course it would help to edit out the Thomas the Tank beach towel that is on the chair outside.  I hate for you northerners to know that the grands have been in the hot tub swimming.}

These beautiful branches are a gift from God to remind us that he makes all things new.  Every spring...

What a beautiful reminder to me as I begin to observe a holy Lenten season.

He will make me new too.

Amen!!! Oh, Sue, I needed this this morning more than you know. I loved your picture, Thomas and all, and I think I'll go out this morning and pick some pear branches just to remind me of it.

Never looked past the flowers until you mentioned it. Haha, what a wonderful way to welcome in the Lent season.

Absolutely beautiful!!! God is good!! Oh how I am not trying to envy any thing you wrote in that post (Swimming, flowers....) as that is not what I should be doing. Thanks for a small glimpse of spring and for bringing me hope that it may arrive here SOMEDAY in Minnesota!

Love ya!

Amen, Honey!! What a wonderfully inspiring post, Sue...perfect for the beginning of Lent.

My smocking group meets at one gal's home & their development is completely lined with Bradford pear trees on both sides of the street for miles! In spring, it is the most awesome site!! From now on, I will think of your statement "He will make me new too." whenever I see those majestic blooms. Thanks for the lesson in appreciation.

Maybe after this next snowstorm of 6-10", we'll get to see some blooms. *sigh*

Thank you for visiting me at Brambly and leaving such an inspiring comment. I named it Brambly because we're surrounded by blackberries.

I enjoyed the photo of your family as your header-you are blessed to have such a beautiful family gathered together. I'll be visiting again soon. Take care.
