Today was so windy and cold and icy !!! Brrrrrrrr
I just stayed in and did a little cleaning {finally} and did a little tweaking of something that just bugged me.
This is our light in the dining room, it was here when we bought the house and had cream shades with fringe. Not my liking so I removed them. But the bare bulbs were a little ... bare, and so I thought red shades would look good.
I bought some red shades, and I like the red, but don't you think they are kind of small? Me too, but I couldn't find any that were just a little bigger, without spending a lot of $$.Good old Hobby Lobby came to the rescue with these. Now I know that no one but me will ever really tell the difference, but it just looks better to me. What do you think, can you tell?
Definitely better.

Sue, those are perfect. You got those nice shades at Hobby Lobby? Good deal. Thanks for joining the party.
Coming on over from Kim's B2B party! I love your dining room ... the colors ... the traditional feel ... and your new chandie shades are beautiful! Just the right size, too. I *wish* I had a HL close by ... I'm envious. Take care, Becca (www.adventuresindecorating1.blogspot.com)

I think they are perfect. I love the scallop. I wish I had Hobby Lobby. I need to move to Texas. (ha ha!!)
I can tell the difference. The newer ones seem longer, deeper, taller. Not sure how to describe it but you get my drift. Love the red.
Your dining room is beautiful and I love the moulding.
BTW I am your newest follower. Come on over and follow me as well.
Hugs, Ginger
Your new shades are perfect. I love the fancy edge!
Oh... I love the addition of the red lampshades. What a difference it makes!
Hi Sue! I love the shades...so pretty! And that is one gorgeous chandy, too! Happy week!...hugs...Debbie
I love them. I want to put shades on our dining room fixture too, but it has so many arms that the price has ALWAYS been my "put off". I'm going to see if my HL has them and price them there. Really, I just think I need a new fixture completely, though.
Looks awesome Sue!
I really like the color and that there is a slightly scalloped lower edge. Makes a big difference. Just lovely.
